The Oakland A’s helped me get a job once. I interviewed at a cycle shop across from a giant photo of the team. The boss especially liked that I’d gone to bat day as a kid to watch ‘the A’s.’ Guanajuato-pink-stadium-baseball more my style; my many sibs & I had our own team in our yard, St. Francis in his redwood alcove behind home plate. I would’ve loved to have been in the same classroom as you, watching you deftly draw in the margins. I love this watercolor sketch.
I want to read this story: "my many sibs & I had our own team in our yard, St. Francis in his redwood alcove behind home plate." And yes, my heart, amateur beisbol is so beautiful. I was struck by the many worlds between this and, like, the Superbowl. You'd love this scene so, dear E!
I love seeing your drawings! And I of course love your words too. Thanks for these glimpses into your days.
Thanks darling Erin. Sending love to M.
It’s quiet
as wind as birds I love
some people here.
Lovely!
Thanks so, Edan!
